5 Minute Friday - Community


I wish I could say that my community of friends was everything I want. But sadly, I can't.


Don't get me wrong -I do have some very wonderful friends around me but as life would have it we are all busy mamas or workers. We don't get to visit as often as we would like and even phone calls are disrupted by sibling fights or baby cries.

I often find myself having better friendships with the wonderful women I've "met" blogging than in real life.

I've said it countless times that I can't depend on others to make the friendship what it needs to be -I can accept what is there and be happy or cut my losses and move on.

Our church is new with a lot of younger members and I've wondered about setting a coffee date at my house and making new friends. Maybe I should quit thinking and just do it.

Maybe all these wonderful women bloggers should just move to Louisiana and give me the community I long for.
