About

Hi, I'm Ashley, the creator of My heart at Home.

I'm a child of the most glorious God, the wife of an awesome man -Drew, the mother of 2 boys- Hudson and Jaxon, stepmother to 2 boys and 1 girl -Ryley, Jase, and Avery, guardian of one of my nieces -McKenzie and an avid homemaker who enjoys writing about it all.

I married my best friend, Drew, on November 7, 2009 and I'm amazed by him more and more each day. He is a wonderful husband; kind, loving, a hard worker, and pretty good looking too! I could not ask for a better father of our kids either. He strives daily to show us all how much he loves us and what we mean to him.

McKenzie, our niece, came to live with us in September 2011. Since then we have gained custody of her and made her a permanent member of our family. She is 11 years old and loves cheerleading, helping me around the house, and playing with her friends.

Drew and I both had children before we were married from previous relationships. I had one and he had 3. Hudson is 7 years old, Ryley is 8 years old, Jase is 6 years old, and Avery is 3 years old. All 3 boys loves hunting, playing outside, playing video games and driving McKenzie crazy. Avery is a special gift from God having been through a few surgeries, 2 of which were open heart. She is a happy little girl who loves to make others smile. Her mood can quickly change if you take away Dora or her cup.

In February 2011 Drew and I welcomed our first child together into our home -Jaxon. His first birthday is quickly approaching and reminding us how fast kids grow up. He's filled the last year with lots of laughing, silly faces and happiness to all who know him.

I'm so glad you've stopped by my little corner of the web. I pray that you always find it warm and welcoming. Feel free to come back soon and often after that. Fresh coffee is always brewed and sweet tea is in the fridge. We can throw some cookies in the oven and chat about our wonderful calling as keepers of the home, wives and mothers. Please excuse the toys on the floor and loud voices of the kids- they are making memories.

See you soon!!

Ashley
